Brief: There were no long faces for London’s army of workers in July 2013 as we teamed up with Racing Post and the Amateur Jockeys Association to unleash a jamboree of jockeys on unsuspecting Underground users.

Result: Kirsty Milczarek, Racheal Kneller and Jake Greenall were among the 31 riders who swapped their four-legged friends for a Travelcard and less familiar mode of transport. But they were still fully clad in race kit – wearing boots and breeches, shirts and silks, as well as hats and goggles – to the bemusement of fellow passengers. The activity caused a storm on social media, helping #RoyalAscot trend as jockeys and commuters tweeted their pictures.
