A special gift from the Racing Post for the Queen’s 90th

Racing Post

Brief: Racing Post wanted to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday at Royal Ascot with a special, one-off event.

Result: SITA helped design and create a diamond mounted racehorse brooch, and presented it to the Queen on behalf of Racing Post. The hand-made brooch, from Birmingham-based jewellery manufacturers Alabaster & Wilson Ltd, contains 35 brilliantly cut diamonds, and features a jockey enamelled in the royal racing colours. As well as being a special gift for Her Majesty, news of the brooch attracted attention across TV, radio, and online, with a series of replicas given to journalists and other famous names in racing to mark the special occasion.
