Brief: When Sandown Racecourse wanted to promote their Superheroes Return Family Fun Day, they sent up the signal for Square in the Air to create a winning experiential and digital campaign.
Result: SITA ran a week-long campaign on social media, which culminated in two days of experiential work in Kingston town centre.
SITA’s in-house digital team took on management of Sandown’s Twitter channels for the duration of the week, creating regular content, and building buzz for the fun day with a ‘Find the Superhero’ competition. SITA also identified and reached out to key local influencers, who helped to amplify and engage followers with the campaign. Over the course of the week, SITA helped attract an audience of over 120,000 on Twitter, with 2,650 engaging directly with the campaign.
SITA’s experiential team, complete with brand ambassadors dressed as superheroes, were also on hand to help spread the word on the ground in Kingston, posing for photos and giving out flyers to generate awareness of the Fun Day and promote special ticket offers. Thanks to SITA’s help, Sandown’s Superhero Day was a flyaway success.
