West Ham players jump at racing commentary school

Brief: With Betway looking to gain full exposure ahead of the Cheltenham Festival, Square in the Air came up with the idea of a Cheltenham Commentary School for some of West Ham’s star players, coached by ITV Racing’s lead commentator Richard Hoiles.

Result: West Ham players Patrice Evra, Mark Noble, James Collins and Joe Hart were tasked with learning the racing lingo from Hoiles before having their commentary skills tested on some of the sport’s most famous races.

With Evra at his hilarious best and Noble egging him on, the footage went viral, getting picked up by numerous online national press outlets such as the Daily Mirror, The Sun, Daily Mail and Daily Star. The video was also shown in its entirety on ITV as part of the build up to the Betway Champion Chase, as well as on ITV 4’s Opening Show programme.
