With our ongoing relationship with SBC, our talented design team offered their design expertise to the five shortlisted start-ups to help them communicate their innovative ideas with clarity and impact when pitching to a panel of industry leaders and investment experts completely free of charge. We also offered a prize to the eventual winner of unlimited design support to help kickstart their brand (worth £9,500).

What is First Pitch 2025 Lisbon?

SBC Events’ startup competition First Pitch offers emerging companies the chance to pitch their vision to industry leaders, with prize packages that include resources, mentorship, and valuable business connections. Beyond the prizes, the real value lies in the exposure and credibility gained from showcasing on an international stage.

For design and branding teams, these competitions are equally meaningful. Strong storytelling, polished visuals, and clear messaging help startups stand out, while also raising the standard of innovation across the industry. By supporting founders in these pivotal moments, creative teams not only shape first impressions but also contribute to strengthening the wider ecosystem.

ChatBet – Partnership with the #1 AI-Powered Betting Assistant

ChatBet is an AI-powered platform that enables betting through natural conversation on apps like WhatsApp and Telegram. Instead of navigating traditional sportsbooks, players can place bets, check odds, and get updates simply by chatting. The company partners with licensed iGaming operators to provide their technology to make betting more seamless, engaging, and personalised while helping operators boost player activity and revenue through conversational AI.

By reworking their presentation deck and sharpening the storytelling around their vision, the project helped position ChatBet not just as a technology provider, but as an innovator reshaping how players interact with betting platforms.

Since their V1 Launch back in 2023, they have raised $750k and are looking for operators who are seeking an opportunity to elevate player engagement, drive higher retention, and differentiate their brand through conversational betting experiences.

LiveDuel – Partnership with the Next-Gen Prediction Platform

LiveDuel is building a next-generation prediction market platform, designed to help users uncover truth through collective insights. Unlike traditional models, they’ve engineered a fairer and more efficient market from the ground up, with proprietary technology that gives them complete control over their product roadmap and the ability to innovate rapidly. Their strategic approach combines cutting-edge market design with a strong focus on user experience, ensuring engagement, trust, and long-term growth.

They are currently raising $2.5 million to accelerate product development, scale customer acquisition initiatives, strengthen their legal and regulatory framework, and expand their team.

We partnered with LiveDuel’s CEO Will Martin, to refine his pitch and elevate the storytelling, while designing a visually striking deck that highlights his key messages. Together, our goal was to create a compelling narrative that not only captures attention but also demonstrates the strategic vision behind LiveDuel – encouraging investors to recognise its potential and support its growth.
