NFL 23/24 Season
This week the new NFL season kicks off and their social pages have upgraded their graphic output considerably. Shown below is a matchday graphic to showcase the first game of the season between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions. The designer has used several different lighting and glare effects to make the graphic feel multidimensional and energised to match the excitement of the countdown coming to an end.
On their twitter page you can find all the other matchday graphics for the first game week, all of which have a completely unique look and feel which is brilliant to see they’re not following templates. This is the kind of content fans want to share and see on their feeds, brilliant job.

Rugby World Cup Fantasy
This Friday marks the start of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, where the world's best international rugby teams do battle to win the coveted trophy. What better way to enjoy the tournament than competing against your friends and build your own fantasy team with some of the best players in the world.
What caught my eye was the playful and vibrant ‘How to’ animation, which is used as a shareable and interactive content piece to promote the game. The wavy lines act as an adaptable asset that appears throughout the animation to guide the audience from one frame to the next.

Nikon AI Photography Campaign
I found this campaign interesting amidst the growing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate images. Nikon showing that AI images can’t capture what’s natural. I think it’s also great to show that you can still find inspiration from what’s around you.

Football logo evolution
With football back on and being the hot-topic in sport, I found a very interesting thread on Twitter (or now X) showcasing the evolution of team badges and how clubs have modernised their identity in the world of football.
The post shows how a simple change of shape, sharpening of icons and minimalism can project the visibility of the design and create a new ‘feel-good’ approach for fans and their team.
Whether you’re a fan of badge changes or not, this thread evidently illustrates the progression and approach teams have taken to boost their profile in the sport.

Tim Gray 3D linkedIn advert
Not long ago I came across an advert on linkedin from Tim Gray that instantly grabbed my attention. The advert consists of an animated astronaut which floats over an embedded linked in post, creating a 3D effect. When I first saw this I was liking to its creativity and how drawn into the advert I was. Although this isnt my area of expertise, I thought it would be a good idea to share it with someone that it could benefit more from it. I think sharing inspiration between the team can only make us better as a collective! since then we have spoken about how we can implement something similar for our work to help improve deliverables from our clients.

NBA2K24 Cover
The latest NBA2K cover will be commemorating the legacy of the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant. As the release date of the game nears, I wanted to appreciate yet another amazing design cover that 2K produces year in and year out. The style of the cover has a painting-like feel to it with a beautiful blend of the Lakers colours in the background. The background style is used throughout the other editions including one with WNBA star Sabrina Ionesco. Kobe Bryant has now featured the game cover four times. But no other basketball player (Maybe except MJ) is more deserving to be on that cover as the game celebrates its 25th anniversary.
