The WWF take on the Twitter rebrand
Following the controversial recent rebrand of Twitter to ‘X’, the German World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has seized upon this change to convey a profoundly serious message. The graphic shows the evolution of the Twitter bird logo over the years alongside the message ‘Protect our wildlife before it's too late’.

Sky Sports - The Great Show On Earth
Sky Sports launched its 2023 start-of-season campaign, which celebrates the unbeatable entertainment available on Sky Sports this year. ‘The Greatest Show on Earth’ features some of the biggest names from the world of sport and takes viewers through the spectacular sporting spectacles as a celebration of sport and the talent that is driving 2023 to be the most exciting year yet.
What I really like about the campaign is the playful nature and creative direction that has been used throughout, showcasing an inspiring use of design, tone and language.

TNT Sports Animations
BT Sports is transitioning to TNT Sports and has added some very slick animations. I like the animation language applied throughout for the graphics, with its clear swiping style. One to look out for is the player line-up graphics, which combine the brand assets and styles in a very clean and unique way.

Wimbledon 2023 social graphics
This years’ Wimbledon saw a great campaign full of surprises and exceptional moments. During the tournament the event design team produced some elegant and creative graphics that I found really stood out and emphasised the history and culture of the competition. Here you can see one of the two winners’ graphics, which present that minimal and graceful feel that I think works really nicely.

THOMAS DEVENEY - JUNIOR DEVELOPER
PROPS Website
I’m always proactively looking for new inspiration within the web design scene and came across the props.studiolumio.com website which instantly peaked my interest. The standout feature of this site is its effortless transitions on scroll that gives the site an established modern presence. The use of parallax scrolling allows the site to flow between sections incredibly well, and alongside its basic and minimalistic branding it certainly is reaching its target audience. Another feature such as the product carousel under the main content is a nice touch and provides a new outlook as to what we can expect scrolling carousels to evolve into in the future. All in all, a great modern website that displays products and information beautifully on the site with effortless transitions and animations.

Quarterback - Netflix Series
For the past few weeks, I have been watching an American football documentary series called ‘Quarterback’. The series follows threeNFL quarterbacks - Mahomes, Cousins and Mariota - throughout the 2022 season. As a new junior member of the design team, I try my best to keep my eyes open in search of new inspirations and ideas that I could implement in my work. As I was watching this series, I was very much inspired by its very clean and compelling motion graphics, right across the intro, lower thirds, stats information, visual effects, transition effects, high-quality clips, audio, background lighting and much more.
I realised, now that I am working in the design industry and working on a lot more graphics projects, I am so much more aware and appreciative of these graphical styles than I would ever have acknowledged or appreciated previously. Every time I see new motion graphics that I like, I either try to record them on my phone or immediately search how to recreate them. It also made me realise the importance of motion graphics and how they can provide a much more effective visual means of delivering a story or a message.

Hull City 22/23 Motion Matchday Graphics
The Championship is underway! I took a deep dive into the 24 participants' social media accounts this weekend as the opening fixtures took place and I’ve ranked Hull City as the most creative club so far - their feeds stand out among rival clubs because they’ve chosen unique animated typography this year.
Several clubs are now creating bespoke graphics for their goalscorers using imagery from their pre-season photoshoots, but not Hull, they’ve chosen to stand out in a different way by creating animated typography to announce their matchday updates. Here is one showcasing Delap’s goal vs Norwich this weekend. Their page also features static assets to showcase full-time results, to keep the content engaging rather than repetitive.
Shout-out also to Bristol City and Stoke City who impressed me with their creative directions this season, worth checking out.
