B2C Diary June 2025

Horse Racing – Racing team busy at Epsom, Royal Ascot and Curragh

June was a busy month for members of the B2C racing team.

We began on-course at Epsom for the Derby, capturing content, handling reactive socials, and feeding betting updates and quotes to the media, to make sure our clients were part of the buzz surrounding the world’s most famous Flat race.

Just a couple of weeks later, we were back at it for five jam-packed days at Royal Ascot, and then it was over to Dublin for the Irish Derby.

One of the highlights from the three meetings was coordinating and managing the World Pool Moment of the Day, a fun, engaging feature which rewards grooms at the heart of the racing industry.

Each Moment of the Day interview was conducted live on-site during Epsom, every day of Ascot and at the Curragh, and was broadcast on Racing TV/Sky Sports Racing.

In short, it was a month that saw us generate major engagement and coverage for our clients, helping to position them at the heart of the summer’s most important racing festivals.

Rugby – LooseHeadz x Lions Preview Night

Rob Ellis caught up with British & Irish Lions legend Sam Warburton on behalf of rugby’s mental health charity, LooseHeadz.

Sam was speaking at a Lions preview evening, hosted by Charles Tyrwhitt at London’s May Fair Hotel, with all proceeds going to LooseHeadz.

We chatted about his experiences around mental health in rugby, and the brilliant work he’s seen the charity doing as an official partner of the Lions.

Looking ahead to the tour Down Under, Warburton also gave us his take on Andy Farrell’s potential starting XV for the first Test in Brisbane. Great insight and all for a brilliant cause.

Music/Showbiz – Tapping into Glastonbury fever

Glastonbury is always a chance to dip into something a bit broader – a cultural moment that brings together music, fashion, lifestyle, and everything in between.

It gave us a great opportunity to land coverage across a range of titles – think fashion pages, pop culture, and entertainment news. Whether it’s tapping into stories like the weather chatter or spotting a celeb, it’s about finding the right angle.

In the build up to the festival we helped William Hill be first out with betting on who would play a secret set, landing coverage in The Sun, while we also tapped into the talk of high temperatures as we offered odds to media on the highest temperatures to be recorded during the week at Worthy Farm, securing coverage in the Mirror.

However, it was a bit of pre-planning that secured our best coverage haul of the festival, as on the Monday following the event we released odds on 2027 Glastonbury headliners. This release was syndicated across over 50 titles, including nationals, regionals and specialist music publications.

Golf – Teeing off with ARC

Down at Silvermere Golf Club, PR Director Tom Marriott was happily hacking away at Arena Racing Company’s (ARC) annual golf day.

Paired up in a team with At The Races, Podium and Total Performance Data, we’d like to apologies for Tom’s lack of contribution to the group score.

Aside from the shanks, three-putts and lost balls, it was a great day to catchup with contacts in the racing industry.

Congrats to Billy Rogers from TXODDS/AllSported for claiming the individual win and his team for scooping up the main prize.

Thanks to Jack, Zoe and Brendan for hosting.
