B2C Diary March 2025

Broadcast coverage at Cheltenham

We were on the ground for all four days of the Cheltenham Festival working on behalf of client William Hill, who made their return to sponsorship at the meeting with Friday’s William Hill County Hurdle.

Working with William Hill’s wealth of racing ambassadors, including Sir AP McCoy, Barry Geraghty and Gold Cup-winning trainer Gavin Cromwell, we ensured William Hill were high on the media’s agenda during the Festival.

We set AP, Barry and several other ambassadors up with interviews on local and national television and radio, including BBC Breakfast and ITV News, securing wide-reaching national coverage for our clients.

In addition, the press office wheels were turning fast in the Cheltenham media centre, as we reported on the biggest betting stories across the week, driving major coverage for William Hill in national titles such as The Sun, Mirror, Telegraph, Independent, Daily Express and others.

Making our presence Feltz: Driving coverage in the world of showbiz

Ahead of the launch of former This Morning host Vanessa Feltz’s new show ‘Vanessa’, we sat down with her to discuss everything from her time on This Morning to her desire to appear on the next series of Celebrity Traitors!

Vanessa provided an insight into life in the This Morning studio, how she is seeking success on Channel 5 and what the next steps could be for her television career.

Her quotes earned coverage across the UK, delivering follow links in 64 different sites nationwide for our clients, from Edinburgh Evening News to Sussex Express! We also landed mentions in national publications such as The Sun, The Mail and Metro.

An evening with John Arne Riise

The B2C team attended An Evening with John Arne Riise, a successful event that generated strong social and PR coverage for client Grosvenor Casinos.

The night showcased Grosvenor Casino Luton’s sports betting lounge as a top destination for sports fans to not only bet, but also watch the best football matches all in one place.

We were there to capture social content as former Liverpool star John Arne Riise sat down with sports presenter Kate Mason for an exclusive interview. He shared fascinating stories from his career, such as the infamous ‘golf club incident’ with Craig Bellamy and legendary night in Istanbul.
John also stayed to watch the Liverpool vs PSG first leg in the Champions League, where Liverpool clinched a 1-0 win, sending fans into jubilation.

To increase exposure, we also arranged a PR interview and worked with the wider team to film engaging video content, creating dynamic clips for post-event promotion.

Digital PR in Deutsch

March also saw the B2C team tasked with running a targeted campaign for one of our clients focused specifically on the German market. The goal? Secure quality backlinks on .de domains ahead of Germany’s Nations League quarter final against Italy.

Our approach saw us facilitate a media session with former Germany international Mario Basler, pitched to key German football journalists. His trademark honesty (and a few punchy quotes) saw us secure 98 follow links across dozens of top-tier .de publications, including major sports outlets and trusted regional news sites.

The campaign gave our client visibility and exposure to a more diverse, football-savvy audience beyond their usual English-speaking strongholds. It was a chance to build brand authority in a new market with local relevance.

For any brand looking to grow across borders, this kind of campaign shows how targeted digital PR can create real value. Sometimes it just takes the right voice to unlock a new audience – in this case, that voice had a German accent and a few spicy Bundesliga takes.
