As the 2024 European Championships kick off this weekend, the design team have been exploring some matchday posters for a selection of participants.

Croatia

With Croatia struggling to get past the round of 16 at the last two European Championships, it's hard to argue a case for advancing out of a tough Group B that includes Spain and Italy. However, with midfield veteran and maestro Luka Modric captaining the side in his last Euros, could they overcome the odds and make it a fairytale ending to his illustrious career?

England

Football's Coming Home?

With another year of exciting English talent coming through the ranks could this be our year? England head into the tournament as favourites! However, I'm not so sure. With world class talent going forward it's in defence where I worry the most and for that reason, I'm backing the hosts Germany. With young raw talent coming through in the likes of Florian Wirtz and the experienced veteran Toni Kroos I believe the Germans have great balance and that all important home advantage!

Armen Olivar, Junior Designer

France

Allez Les Bleus! Coming off a finals lost in the World Cup, I believe the French team will be as hungry as ever to bounce back and get their country their third ever Euro title. With a stacked team being led by Mbappe who is arguably the best forward in football right now, I don’t think any team can top them!

Richard White, Design Director

Germany

Germany are my favourites for Euro 2024. They boast a blend of experienced veterans, dynamic young talent and the best kit at the Euros. Playing on home turf adds extra motivation and support which makes Germany strong contenders

Gurdain Bharj, Midweight Multimedia Designer

Italy

Italy face tough opposition against Croatia and Spain in their group will be interesting to see how far their defence of the title can go! All eyes on Chiesa and Barella! Although France are my pick to lift the trophy, having visited Italy earlier in the year I just had to create a graphic!

Ellen Kerbey, Creative Director

Portugal

Diego Jotaaaaaa! With 10 goals this season for Liverpool could it be his time to shine in this years EURO's?

I really fancy Portugal to take the trophy home this year with a very strong squad of up and coming players, I think its time for some new talent to take centre stage for Portugal in what could be Ronaldo and Pepe's last European Championship.

Jess Bennett, Junior Designer

Scotland

Could a 21-year-old with one cap make all the difference for Scotland?

Tommy Conway only made his debut for the senior squad in a pre-tournament friendly but whilst playing for the under-21's caught the eye of Steve Clarke, who has chosen to include him in the squad. Scotland's opening game is against Germany who have a strong squad and I think have a good chance of winning the tournament. They also have the home advantage!

Tom Deveney, Junior Developer

Spain

It could go one of two ways for the Spaniards this summer at EURO 2024. Situated in the so-called 'Group of Death' alongside reigning champions Italy and 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia, the road out of the group seems a difficult one. With that being said, I fancy Spain to qualify at the top of the group but sadly see them departing at the semi-final stage.

I'm backing the Three Lions to go one step further than they did last time out. Come on, England!
