Introduction

Over three years ago, Square in the Air expanded its design offering to include website development, following growing demand from prospective clients. Since then, we've delivered 10+ websites across the Sports, Betting, and iGaming sectors. Our work spans everything from microsites for betting affiliates to full-scale slot studio sites and interactive Pick’em games like Sky’s popular Super 6. In this blog, we’ll showcase a selection of our projects and highlight how our website capabilities have evolved over the years.

Kennet Valley Syndicates

Kennet Valley Syndicates offers a boutique management service for premium equine bloodstock, bringing together like-minded individuals to share in the thrill of racehorse ownership at the highest level. With the continued growth of horse racing syndication over the past decade, Kennet Valley approached us to redesign their outdated website and align it with modern expectations.

• Incorporated updated brand guidelines to ensure a consistent look and feel across all platforms
• Developed a user-friendly platform to showcase available racehorse shares clearly
• Created dedicated pages for each horse with detailed information, including trainer profiles
• Implemented a pop-up form on entry to capture visitor interest and generate leads
• Enhanced Kennet Valley’s online presence and engagement with prospective syndicate members
• Followed the client’s brief carefully to align the website design with their vision and goals

Affiliates Websites

We developed two affiliate websites for Star Sports and AK Bets. The goal was to attract potential partners by highlighting the benefits and profitability of becoming an affiliate. Each site was designed to deliver value to both the business and prospective affiliates.

• A carefully planned user journey was implemented to drive engagement and conversions.
• Interactive elements like contact forms were included to capture quality leads.
• The sites reflect each brand’s strong visual identity and maintain consistent, accessible messaging.

Since launch, both companies have reported an increase in affiliate sign-ups. The results underline the success of our approach in driving measurable growth.

Fairplay Pick’em

Launched in 2024, Fairplay Exchange is a social betting app that allows users to place friendly wagers with friends—whether it’s on the golf course, over a game of pool, or during casual challenges. Our Objective was to develop a 'Pick’em' style game feature allowing users to predict outcomes of six events and win a cash prize if all guesses were correct.

• Created a responsive and user-friendly prediction form.
• Built backend logic to manage submissions and results.
• Used Google Sheets as a fast and efficient backend for storing and managing entries.
• Applied formulas to automatically identify winners as results came in.
• Over 250 entrants participated in the first round—making it Fairplay’s most successful feature launch to date.
• Integrated WordPress to give Fairplay full control to set up and manage future competitions independently.
• Tight turnaround times.
• Need for scalable, low-maintenance infrastructure.
• A successful, fast-paced collaboration that delivered both immediate results and long-term flexibility for the Fairplay team.

Irish Poker Open

The Irish Poker Open, held annually in Dublin, is the second-oldest poker tournament in the world, drawing players from across the globe. The project aimed to modernise the existing site while retaining all core functionality that poker fans rely on during the event.

Key features and updates included:

• Full website redesign to modernise the look and feel while preserving all essential API integrations.
• Retained and enhanced real-time data feeds, including: Pre-event statistics, Live in-event updates directly from the tables.
• Reworked the site’s structure to align with the Irish Poker Open’s brand identity, incorporating: Affiliated colour palette. Consistent use of brand colours across the site.
• Introduced a new navigation system to streamline key user journeys.
• Improved layout design for a better overall user experience (UX), especially for repeat visitors and tournament participants.

Oche180

Launched in late 2019 by Phil Lanning, Oche180 has grown into a respected darts media brand with a young and committed team that covers events worldwide. Known for delivering reliable content, premium interviews, and top-tier photography, Oche180 needed a site that matched its reputation and evolving identity.

Project highlights and features delivered:

• Complete redesign of the website to align with the new logo, colour palette, and brand guidelines.
• Enhanced overall user experience (UX) through an intuitive and modernised layout.
• Introduced an affiliate section to: Drive user engagement, Increase site monetisation, Offer readers access to exclusive free bets and deals.
• Collaborated with an SEO expert to optimise the site for search engines, helping Oche180 rank higher in a competitive niche.
• Created a layout that encourages interaction and repeat visits.
• Early feedback since launch has been overwhelmingly positive, with loyal users calling it a major upgrade for the brand.

Arrow's Edge

Arrow’s Edge is a casino game development studio founded in 2014, based in Panama and licensed by the Curaçao authorities. Known for their diverse range of over 70 online games — including slots, table games, and video poker — the studio required a website that reflected their updated brand and offered a streamlined user experience.

Our goals and key features delivered:

• Designed and developed a brand-new website aligned with their updated logo and brand guidelines.
• Migrated essential game and company data from the old site to ensure a smooth transition.
• Placed all game demos in a lightbox iFrame as per the request of the client so that visitors of the site reach the gaming experience quickly.
• Created a Client portal so clients of Arrows Edge can log in and download marketing assets for games.
• Implemented a user-friendly CMS to simplify backend management for AE employees.
• Optimised the site for both desktop and mobile to support their full game portfolio.
• Improved overall user experience and site navigation.
